Life Story for Julio Daniel Gonzalez

Julio Daniel Gonzalez passed away on October 22, 2022 at the age of 82 in Queens, NY. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and moved to the United States when he was 12. Julio joined the U.S. Marines Corps in 1963. As a proud Marine, he served in the Vietnam War. He worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) for 25 years. He was working as a conductor on the NYC subways when he met his wife of 41 years, Sylvia. He enjoyed spending time with family and going to the casinos, he was very lucky. He was predeceased by his parents John and Lidia Gonzalez. Julio was survived by his loving daughters, Rita Schneider (Scott) of West Orange, NJ and Cynthia Mistretta (Daniel) of Stamford, CT; beloved grandchildren, Alexandra Schneider, Griffin Schneider, Joseph Mistretta and Andrew Mistretta. Julio is also survived by his siblings, Luis Gonzalez (Lillian), Victor Gonzalez (Bernice), Lidia Nieves (Angel), and his brother-in-law, Casimiro Rios, along with many nieces and nephews.
