Juan Efrain Quesada, 83, of Ensenada, Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 28th in Jamaica, Queens.

Juan was born on May 8th, 1938 to Laura (Elena) and Antonio Quesada in Ensenada, Puerto Rico. He moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1958 where he met his lovely wife, Nellie. The couple were married in 1960 at St. Mary’s Church in Brooklyn, NY and went on to have four beautiful daughters.

Juan was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family. Anyone who knew Juan knew what a special and loving individual he was who enjoyed cooking, art, music and family gatherings. Juan’s life was spent in bringing joy and laughter to others. He will be dearly missed and remembered by all who came to know him.

Juan was predeceased by his mother Laura Elena Montalvo, his father Antonio Rafael Quesada, his brothers: Augustin Roberto Quesada, Hiram Jonas Quesada, Jose Antonio Quesada and Luis Eloy Quesada.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Quesada and his daughters and spouses: Susan and Gerard Martin, Jo-Anne and Reimundo Hernandez, Mary and Kenneth Rodriguez, and Julie and Sergio Luciano; siblings: Laura Elena Quesada-Pardo, Delfin Ernesto Quesada, Raul Jorge Quesada, and Ana T. Abbott; grandchildren: Jennifer Hernandez, Jonathan Hernandez, Anthony Rivera, Andrew Diaz, Bryanne Rodriguez, Amanda Rodriguez, Jordan Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, Michael Luciano, and Jessica Luciano; great grandchildren: Vincent Voigt and Vanessa Voigt.
